Brett Copeland fell in love with the theatre in high school when he attended a professional production in Los Angeles. He immediately fell in love with the art of storytelling and messaging that comes with theatre. Brett started out in college as a nursing major. One day in human anatomy lab he was holding a brain, studying the different parts. With a sudden realization hit him. Being a nurse is not what he was truly meant to be. All Brett could think about was the theatre. In a split second decision, he put away the brain and left. Never to look back. Six months after deciding to become a theatre artist he began working at the Lancaster Performing Arts Center. In May 2017 Brett received his Bachelors of Arts in Theatre Arts from California State University Northridge and his Associates in Arts from Antelope Valley College. While the majority of Brett's work has been in Lighting Design he enjoys working in other parts of theatre. Brett has spent many years bouncing around in Stage Management, Scenic Design, Carpentry, Props, and Technical Directing. Brett finds inspiration in working a diversity of people and learning from one-others experiences and ideas.
